It was a blustery afternoon in Peshastin. Once again the kids put forth some great individual efforts against top notch competition.
The boys team continues it's trend of performing well, this time finishing 5th out of 18 schools. This was probably the best team effort I have seen in my 3 years as Manson track coach. Unfortunately, we don't have an photos to share from this meet.
We were once again paced by Marcus Vanderholm, who won the 1600m easily then proceeded to obliterate his pr in the 800m by 5 seconds and place 3rd overall.
It was also another great night for Alex Vanderholm who placed 3rd in the discus and 5th in the shot, garnering prs in both events. His discus effort is just one foot short of a new school record.
The boys 4x100 relay team broke the 47 second barrier for the first time and placed 5th, barely missing out on 4th at the line.
We had personal bests galore-
Jorge Tejada in the 100, Bridger in the 200, Paul and Joe in the 400, Sam in the 3200, Casey in the javelin, and Jesse in the 800.
The girls also did a nice job.
I thought Itzel ran her best races this year in the 100 and 200.
Kyla ran well in the 3200. Raechel threw better in the disc and shot. Natalie had a nice pr in the javelin, breaking 70 for the first time, Makenzie also had a huge pr in the discus, and Eli had another new pr in the 400.
