NCW League Meet

Friday, May 11 the league meet was held in Bridgeport.  All our league rivals were there, so it was our chance to see how we stacked up against the competition.  As a team, we probably didn't have our best effort, but had several good individual performances.  Here is the rundown by event:

Girls 4x200-  Our team of Ofelia, Eva, Adri, and Itzel placed 3rd, beating our season's best by 7 seconds.  We could have placed even higher, but had a couple of poor exchanges that held us back.

Girls 3200-  Eva placed 4th and Cheyanne 5th.  Kyla had some severe shin splints that held her back, but still finished the race.

Boy's 100-  Bailey timed a 12 flat, good for 4th place.  A huge half second improvement for the season.

Girl's 100-  Ofelia placed 3rd, but has run faster.

Boys 1600-  Marcus placed 2nd with an excellent 4:55, Jesse 5th in 5:34, and Juan got 7th in 5:59.  All three efforts were personal bests.

Girls 400-  Itzel placed 4th in 70 seconds, Bronte and Cheyanne were 7th and 8th.

Boys 800-  Paul placed 7th in a personal best 2:34.

Girls 800-  Thalia picked up a 5th place finish.

Girls 200-  Ofelia placed 3rd in a 29.6.  Jackie picked up a pr in this event.

Boys 3200-  Marcus placed 2nd in 11 flat, Jesse 6th in 12:45, and Juan placed 8th.

Girls 4x400-  Ofelia, Eva, Bronte, and Itzel placed 4th.

Boys 4x400-  Ty, Bailey, Paul, and Marcus placed 4th.

Next week is districts in Kittitas.  Top 2 in each event qualify for state.
