Marcus Vanderhom had a great day, besting his pr in the 1600m by 2 seconds. He ran a perfect race, not going out too fast and running very even splits throughout the race. His time places him in first in the district and 5th in state currently.
The boys 4x100 ran a decent race, besting their previous season's best by 2 seconds. There is still room for improvement, as all the exchanges were far from perfect. This bodes well for the future.
Paul Toolson did a nice job in the 400m, running under 58 seconds, which is almost 6 seconds faster than he ran in the same event at this meet last year.
Aylee Neff jumped a pr of 14'1" in the long jump. This was 8 inches farther than her previous best.
The boy's distance medley relay team beat their time from last year by almost 20 seconds.
Our throwers had a tough day. No one was able to beat any personal bests. It was just one of those day where nothing seemed to come together.
Our next meet is Tuesday at Eastmont.
